permanent lip colour
Lost your pout? Tired of your lipstick bleeding?
Lips can be made to look fuller and much more prominent by adding colour.

Our lips tend to fade in colour and decrease in volume as we age but can be made to look fuller and much more prominent by adding colour. Outlining around the edge of the vermillion border of the lip, by just a touch, can make a huge difference in the appearance of the size of the lips.

Permanent lip color can give you the optical illusion of fuller looking.

There are several different methods to choose from with permanent lip color. Lip color can be applied as a lip line to reshape and outline the lips for a more defined look and creating the illusion of fuller lips. Another popular procedure is to have the lip line blended into the lips for a soft, natural look.

Some prefer to have the whole entire lip filled with colour to mimic the look of lipstick.

Permanent lip colour has helped many people feel good about their appearance by defining their vermillion border and restoring the lip colour they once had, creating a more youthful look.

You will now be able to shower, swim and exercise without worrying that your lipstick will bleed or fade away… you are going to love your new luscious lips!!!

What to Expect:

Treatment length will depend on the size and area being treated. A lip procedure typically takes 2.5 hours. Discomfort will very according to each individuals’ pain threshold. A topical anesthetic is applied to numb the area making the procedure more comfortable.

Immediately after the procedure your lips will be tender and swollen. Swelling varies from client to client and can be treated with a cold compress. The color will appear darker than expected, but will fade up to 40 percent within the first 3 weeks. When healing, a rule of thumb for permanent lips is they will initially appear too bright, then go through a stage of being too light, then around day 21…voila…just right!! Your lips will feel chapped, but not necessarily look chapped for 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure and it is advised that you keep them well lubricated during this time, especially immediately after the procedure. We recommend wearing lip balm with sun screen to discourage fading.
A touchup or perfecting visit is required 4 – 6 weeks after the initial procedure and is included in the initial price.
