What to Expect:
Treatment length will depend on the size
and area being treated. A lip procedure typically
takes 2.5 hours. Discomfort will very according
to each individuals’ pain threshold. A topical
anesthetic is applied to numb the area making the
procedure more comfortable.
Immediately after the
procedure your lips will be tender and swollen.
Swelling varies from client
to client and can be treated with a cold compress.
The color will appear darker than expected, but
will fade up to 40 percent within the first 3
weeks. When healing, a rule of thumb for permanent
lips is they will initially appear too bright,
then go through a stage of being too light, then
around day 21…voila…just right!!
Your lips will feel chapped, but not necessarily
look chapped for 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure
and it is advised that you keep them well lubricated
during this time, especially immediately after
the procedure. We recommend wearing lip balm
with sun screen to discourage fading.
A touchup or perfecting visit is required 4 – 6
weeks after the initial procedure and is included
in the initial price.
